A long time ago I pre-ordered two anime figures; the DVD versions of the Komaki sisters from To Heart 2. I am more of an Ikuno fan but Manaka had to be ordered as well to make the scene from that DVD picture complete. Play Asia failed to deliver and I am just bitter about it still; it has been over a year since I have ordered the figures and did not receive. I am not mad about it, just disappointed.
/”You know, it’s like when your parents say, ‘I’m not mad at you; I’m just disappointed,’ you know like, that hurts so much more, you know?”
Yeah, but the most important question is, Did you get your money back?
Play Asia to the best of my knowledge does not charge people until their order is shipped. Since it never got shipped, I never got charged. So in that sense, I did get my money back.
And they were really good looking figures too. I believe they were cast off figures as well.
I bet Play-Asia is feeling very bad right now. lol.
I cannot remember the reason why they canceled my order though (and anyone else’s orders for the sisters) but to miss out on those great looking figures…I would compare the feeling to the song by Cat Stevens (eventually covered by Sheryl Crow) entitled “The First Cut is the Deepest” but that would just be a bit over the top. Actually, since I have never bought figures before that I did not have to assemble/paint myself (the Maaryan dynamic entry figure and this one obscure character from the Pia Carrot series being the first two I bought), it does sting to have been denied such figures of the Komaki sisters.
Heck, my intent on buying the figures were based on how hilarious Ikuno’s face was on the figure. The grin was definitely a make or break for me.
/J-List has delivered more than once for me
//When in doubt, Maaryan
